go buy a game called "faces of war" wich was the first version that is not so very known of wich men of war is based on.its a lot cheaper than "men of war".but most of those missions are allready converted for MOWAS.ĪAAAND :D if u want a really good challenge and play a campaign mode where your soldiers get experience in battle you should defeneltitly go to moddatabase and download a mod named " Dynamic campaign generator 3.5" you can also start up the editor and learn have to put soldiers and tanks in it and design your own missions or just play around with.ĪND!!!!. But you should really try out an allmost reverse version of it named "Neverending battles" where u set up a defense perimeter for 10 minutes then waves of enemies attack you for 50minutes.and you can fall back 3 times to new defense lines.this is actually so much more fun than skirmish.ĪND!!! if not satisfied yet. Skimish is actually: You attack, Ai defend and counterattack. Also there is tons of good missions made for this game, not only skirmish missions, but also classic missions. this game is more intuitive than the others. Men of war assault squad is a streamlined version for multiplayer mostly and has less units than the original Men of war.
It wasn't until I loaded up a MP map by myself that I realized there are SO MANY units in this game.ĭid I accidentally buy a multiplayer only game? I find it very hard to believe a real time strategy games such as this does not have a proper skirmish mode against AI available. The current "skirmish" mode is very limited in what units you can order, and which maps you may play on. I cannot play on these MP maps or with these (probably) fun game modes because I don't have a reliable internet connection where I am. I did some snooping around in the multiplayer menu and found some very nice game modes though lacking in any AI that I can see.
